Employment
The Calgary Stampede is a volunteer-supported, not-for-profit community organization that preserves and celebrates our western heritage, cultures and community spirit. The Calgary Stampede is most famous for its community festival in July, but Stampede Park is a busy place all year.
The Stampede hosts hundreds of third-party events throughout the year in BMO Centre, participates in and hosts community events all over Calgary, produces and hosts year-round agriculture and western events and has an active Foundation that makes year-round youth performing arts and education programs possible.
We rely on 1,200 year-round employees to make this all happen. Our unique employment opportunities include positions in Consumer Sales, Marketing & Sponsorship, Community Engagement & Communications, Agriculture & Western Events, Park & Facility Services, Business Services, Sales & Event Management, Food & Beverage and Stampede Programming. And yes - that big event in July requires a lot of planning. During Stampede time the Stampede hires 3,500 employees for the annual celebration.
When you work for the Calgary Stampede you are part of a family of employees, volunteers and sponsors committed to the community. The Stampede is more than a summer festival, it is a world-class, year-round gathering place dedicated to youth education, agricultural programs, connecting rural and urban communities and creating exceptional experiences. We are a group of passionate, curious, team-oriented folks who love what we do.
