The venue became a gathering place for guests, students and community partners.Sam Centre expanded its public programming with a new speaker series, offering three sessions that explored the people and ideas behind the Stampede: Behind the Bronze, exploring what it takes to be a rodeo champion; From Telephone Poles to Art Auctions, tracing the evolution of the Stampede Poster; and a book talk on The ManGuests explore BRANDED: The Art of Calgary Stampede Posters exhibit.Who Never Turned Back, highlighting the legacy of The Big Four member George Lane.In June, the Ross Glen Gallery unveiled its new rotating exhibit, BRANDED: The Art of Calgary Stampede Posters, showcasing more than a century of poster art and its influence on Calgarys cultural identity.
