Some highlights from 2024 included:The Calgary Stampede Community Round Up presented by ENMAX made its way to Stampede Park on June 8, kicking off thisSpecial Olympics Canada Winter Gamesyears Stampede celebrations with a free pancake breakfast, family fun and entertainment, while also welcoming the community toFrom Feb. 27 to March 2, the Special Olympics Canada Winter the BMO Centre expansion for the first time. Dozens of volunteerGames were held in Calgary. The Stampede was proud to support committees joined in the celebration, led by the Communitythe event with Stampede mascots Harry the Horse and Tug & Projects & Development Committee, adding to the outdoor fun,Tess, Stampede Royalty and the Promotion Committee greeting which included wagon rides, live music, crafts and interactiveathletes as they arrived in Calgary. Inside the building, guests got an exclusive tour ofdancers, Promotion Committee volunteers, the Band of Outriders Western Canadas largest convention centrethe BMO Centre.and the Young Canadians were also present for the opening and closing ceremonies, which were held on Stampede Park, interacting with athletes and sharing Western hospitality.
